Actor Janhvi Kapoor walks the runway in a daring piece designed by couturier Rahul Mishra.
Janhvi Kapoor is an epitome of grace and glamor when it comes to her style quotient. The Mr & Mrs Mahi star turned heads on the catwalk at Paris Haute Couture Week, when he walked for world-acclaimed Indian couturier Rahul Mishra.
Bold and sassy, Janhvi looked ethereal in an opulent ensemble from Mishra's Fall 2024 Couture collection, Aura. The mermaid-style skirt with a train was paired with an embellished bustier top. Janhvi joined the line-up of models, which featured creations inspired by the collection's theme, Aura.
The holographic skirt embellished with shiny embroidered details added a mystical charm to Janhvi's runway look. While this isn't the first time Janhvi has rocked a bustier on the runway, it's the confidence it brings that makes it a one-of-a-kind piece.
With her hair styled in soft waves and minimal makeup, Janhvi's aura was a perfect blend of glamor and grace.
The collection, predominantly in black and gray, beautifully represented the depth and mystery associated with one's aura. Describing the collection, Rahul Mishra took to Instagram to shed light on the collection. He says: “Each individual is perceived to have an aura that represents his or her electromagnetic field, like that of the earth, and its emitted vibrations that connect them and facilitate their interaction with the rest of the universe.”
He further adds: “When one stares at an infinite black sky, are one observing nothingness or the abundance of the unknown? According to the theory, a living jiva is a combination of three factors: body, mind and soul, and all of that together equals an aura. The collection becomes an attempt to articulate, through haute couture garments, how such an omnipresent aura can interact with a living body. And how the living body becomes a container for a part of this energy, it obtains its greatness from it.”
Rahul Mishra and his wife, Divya Mishra, have been creating magic together on the runways of Paris for many years. Second home to his creative designs, every year the couturier manages to create an element of surprise with his art. We expect the designer to showcase this collection at the upcoming India Couture Week 2024 in July in New Delhi. Who loves a piece of Paris in India, right?
