When Jenny Lewis was born, her parents were part of Laves Way, an act of a musical hall in Las Vegas. After they separated when he was 3 years old, he moved to his mother, his older sister and her babysitter (an imitating woman from Memphis, Tenn.) To the San Fernando Valley.

On Sunday Funday, the people of Los Angeles give us a play per game of their ideal Sunday in the city. Find ideas and inspiration about where to go, what to eat and how to enjoy life on weekends.

Lewis remained in the valley during most of his life, with some Sojurns next to Los Angeles, Nashville and New York. Now he is firmly back in the valley, except, of course, when he is on tour.

Lewis is a former child actor (you may remember it from “Troop Beverly Hills” and “The Wizard”), but has passed her adulthood as a famous musician who has released five solo albums, including “Joy'all” of 2023.

Recently he met with his bandmates in Rilo Kiley, the indie group that captured Millennial Hearts in the early 2000s. They are currently touring the United States and will play two local shows in the Greek theater on October 14 and 18. Calling from a hotel in Nashville, details what he likes to do on Sundays when he returns to the

8:36 am: Cafeinate, let the dog sleep
I tend to wake up almost every day at 8:36. When I look at the clock, nine out of 10, it's 8:36.

I have a Cushopoo, Bobby Rhubarb, she has 4 1/2, so my life revolves around her. In fact, I wake up before Bobby, which tends to the bar in bed until 11 in the morning, receives its zoomies around midnight because it was raised on the road. The first year of his life, spent three months opening for Harry Styles and living in a tourist bus. She is in the tour perpetually.

So I get up, I'm very quiet not to bother her, and then I will prepare coffee. I love Canyon coffee. It is an organic toaster of unique origin based in Los Angeles, directed by this really beautiful couple.

9:30 am: I love cleaning, cleaning love
Sunday is my clean day. I am a bit monstrous, and now that I live on my own, I can enjoy my trends. It is also very good exercise. I am usually working a couple of days a week, but cleaning is something active and very loving when you are lucky to have a house. You really don't know a house until you put your knees and clean the floor.

11 am: open heart flea market
The first Sunday of the month is the Pasadena City CollegeThe second Sunday is the Rose bowlThird is Long beach And the fourth is Topanga. I prefer the first and fourth Sunday. I like smaller fleas, and there are a couple of suppliers that go to PCC and Topanga They have incredible things. I have relationships with them where they will be, “Oh, I did it in mind.”

Flea market suppliers tell the story of where you are. These people are experts in old blankets of Chimayos and Navajo and modern furniture from the middle of the century. If you stay, you learn a lot about things you never thought you needed.

For me, the nature of the flea and fleas market is based on an open heart and a generous spirit. I am always donating and reviewing my closet and returning to the saving community. When I download a lot of things instead of selling it, I feel that I will be lucky in the flea market.

You really can't go with any expectation; It really is not how it works. I have been looking for the coat of false leopard skin perfect for 20 years. In fact, I have a new song that has that one of the lyrics. Maybe one day I find it.

2:30 pm: Chinese food haddies
If this is a day of Pasadena, it is an opportunity to obtain Chinese food, which I long for Sundays. Sometimes I will go to Woon. It is very close to where many things caught fire [in the Eaton fire]So it's great to go there and support that place.

It can be a bit stuck on Sundays, so sometimes I will go to Glendale Galleria – also stuck, but in a different way – and Din Tai Fung.

I always park on the upper terrace. You get a little sun. If you need to smoke a small doob, you can do it or not. And you simply walk on the bridge towards JcpenneyI love walking.

Din Tai Fung, there is a trick if you are alone, or if you are two people: you can sit at the bar and not wait an hour. I am gluten free. Normally you would get meatballs, which look incredible and I want to eat them, but I can't eat them. I will get the meat broth soup, it is incredible, and some vegetables. Depending on the day, sometimes they tell you that glass noodles do not have gluten and sometimes they tell you that they are not, so I would not recommend that to anyone that is celiac.

3:30 pm: Massage rest in the mall
In the middle of the mall, near the Uniqlo, there is the best 30 -minute chair massage. It is simply incredible. And I am a great massage fan at the mall.

I prefer it to a Bougie massage. I prefer to make a Thai Usually, the malls of the mall are Chinese Acopress. It is the best massage for what I am looking for, which is something very strong and therapeutic.

I don't need to go to the spa, especially when I'm on the road. Often, the bus will be on a Radisson on a day off and there is a shopping center on the other side of the road. I will always look for massage in the mall, and clarify.

I have written so many songs while I received a massage in the mall, because there is always environmental music that you cannot completely distinguish. There is something in that and the sound of people: it is a very liberating frequency for me to write letters.

5 pm: dinner provisions
I return to Mint Chip, which is the name of my house, to see Bobby. On Sundays, depending on what has been lunch, we will do the night of hamburgers or Filet Mignon's night fed with grass.

I will stop at Gelson'sand have two fillets fed with grass that are relatively reasonable. I will receive a baked dad or mashed potatoes, a salad, I will collect a bottle of natural wine and then go home and prepare for me and Bobby.

I like things well done, that nobody likes to hear, but it is reality. If you are my guest or my dog and you like things a little more rare, I am happy to make your way to you.

I have become a very good cook and make a great Martini. I do the mint mint chip. I call it a maximalist Martini because it is very dirty, olives and a turn. Disguises alcohol. I just look at the vermouth, I don't put it in Martini; I look at it, and that is enough vermouth.

I couldn't do anything before the pandemic, so I really appreciate that time to learn to take care of myself.

8 pm: cult classics
I have a projector installed in my living room that is projected on a white wall. I have really been in this application called Night flight [Plus]. “Night Flight” was a cult television series at night late [it originally ran on the USA Network from 1981 to 1988]. Many musical videos, punk and heavy metal documents played. Now they have this incredible transmission application, so you can see these old episodes. At this time, there is a movie called “Kin-Dza-Dza!” of 1986. I love those Soviet things. The music of that time is very strange and great.

10 PM: Crime bedtime
I will take Bobby before bed and then we will go to the main bedroom. I will usually hear an audiobook or a podcast and then go to sleep.

I am a true crime enthusiast, so I have heard them all. Lately, I really enjoyed “Crooked city. ” Also, “Above and missing: in the midnight sun “ It's great. I really like Payne Lindsey and all his shows. There is another great call “Dead and missing“, Which are the crimes that occurred in the surrounding areas of the Grateful Dead shows. It's like the complete story of Grustful Dead. I love the dead, but I learned a lot about the dead listening to that, and I was really listening to the crime.

I am considering a change of forensic career. I mean, not really, but I've been in CRIPHETICS; I want to go to CRIMECAMP. I am obsessed. And again, this happened during the pandemic because there was never room for my hobbies to really please. I am educating myself.
