As we celebrate the achievements of Indian athletes Swapnil Kusale, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, there are several ways to follow and support our other athletes competing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Threads.
Instagram, Facebook and Threads
● Use a new chat theme for the Paris 2024 Olympics on Instagram Direct and Facebook Messenger. From Instagram Direct or Messenger, go to the chat conversation you want to customize. You can then update the theme by long-clicking on the background of your chat and selecting the “Olympics” theme.
● On Instagram, follow a new Olympic-themed Instagram feed created by @olympics, as well as @olympickhel (1.1 million) and @weareteamindia (191,000) for all the latest updates on our athletes in Paris.
● On Threads, follow a new account @weareteamindia to get all the official updates from our Para athletes.
● Follow the new WhatsApp channel for Olympics in India, ‘Olympic Khel’, to get real-time updates from the event. Initiated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), you can watch exclusive content including Olympics trivia and behind-the-scenes content with Indian sports stars and athletes preparing for the event.
● Use stickers from a special new Olympics sticker pack on WhatsApp to express your excitement for the Games. Stickers are one of WhatsApp’s most-loved features and help you have a little more fun when you talk to your friends and family. To use them, switch your keyboard to the WhatsApp sticker tray and tap the “+” icon, which will take you to the official sticker library.
Partnering with creators to generate excitement for games
● Follow along with creators Barkha Singh (@barkhasingh0308) and Karan Sonawane (@focussedindian), who are part of a team of creators from around the world who are in Paris to create excitement for the Games in their respective countries.
