Tyler Henry, known for reality shows including Middle Hollywood where he shows off his psychic abilities, has updated his fans following his emergency brain surgery last month.
Henry took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday to explain how he was recovering from surgery after it was discovered he had a “recurrent cyst” and “swelling symptoms” in his brain. But since having the cyst removed, he has been experiencing short-term memory loss.
“Happy December! My memory is gradually improving and I have written and drawn what I experienced outside of my body during my brain surgery. I am excited to share it when the time is right,” he wrote.
In a separate post to his story, he explained in more detail how poor his memory has been.
“I've been feeling like a goldfish for the past two weeks, able to retain about 10 minutes of short-term memory,” he wrote above a graph of a goldfish before adding, “It's getting better.”
Henry first underwent surgery to remove a colloid tumor (a slow-growing mass that can cause a buildup of fluid) from his brain in May and was subsequently placed on bed rest for a month.
“I had a colloid tumor near the center of my brain and luckily they have removed most of it! (The tumor, not my brain… that is),” he revealed to his followers at the time.
He added, referencing another emergency brain surgery he had at age 18 to remove a congenital cyst: “'This is not my first rodeo with this and I have a lot to be grateful for. See you very soon with many thought-provoking topics and, of course, readings. Thank you all so much for your support.”
Then another cyst was discovered weeks ago, resulting in a third surgery.
The celebrity's husband, Clint Godwin, shared the news of the most recent surgery in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“As you may remember, my husband, Tyler Henry, underwent brain surgery in May 2025,” she captioned the social media post. “However, over the last month, the swelling symptoms returned. Tyler's medical team decided that another surgery to treat the recurring cyst and swelling was the best option.”
Godwin later confirmed that the surgery was successful and that her husband was “recovering well.”
“A sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has taken a moment to think about Tyler and our family over the past few days,” she ended her post.
