A heart transplant recipient sobbed as she met her organ donor’s mother for the first time.
Sandra Diehl, 60, of Kansas City, Missouri, was told by doctors in 2022 that she would not make it to Christmas if a heart donor was not found in time.
He was able to move on with his life after organ donor Cori, 50, died.
Diehl wanted to express how grateful she was to her donor’s family and met Elaine, Cori’s mother, after her transplant coordinator helped her send a letter.
