Gordon Ramsay has revealed how he was left unable to dress after a serious cycling accident earlier this year.
He Nightmares in the kitchen The 57-year-old star was injured after falling off her bike in Connecticut in June.
In a new interview with Men's healthThe chef recalled the embarrassment he felt at having to ask his assistant to help him put on his underwear while he recovered from the incident.
““I couldn't even put my fucking socks and pants on,” Ramsay told the magazine. “Justin [Mandel, his assistant]He used to dress me in the morning.
“I felt like a fucking 95-year-old man. Asking a 30-year-old to put my fucking underwear on was embarrassing.”
The restaurant owner revealed that there was “no other vehicle involved” in the accident, which occurred when the front wheel of his bike “fell into a pothole and the whole bike catapulted me.”
Ramsay's helmet was “cracked” during the crash and “I could only see a blur and blood everywhere.”
He Hell's Kitchen The star previously spoke out about the ordeal in a social media video shared in June, in which he said he was “lucky to be standing here” and revealed the side of his body was covered in purple bruises.
“This week, unfortunately, I had a very serious accident that affected me a lot, but, honestly, I am lucky to be here,” he said.
“Those amazing surgeons, doctors and nurses at the hospitals took care of me this week. They were amazing, but honestly, you have to wear helmets,” he added.
“I don’t care how short the trip is. I don’t care… These helmets cost money, but they are crucial. Even on short trips, kids have to wear helmets now. I’m lucky to be here.”
