Anna Delvey will be swapping prison for the dance floor as she joins the cast of season 33 of Dancing with the stars.
Delvey was infamously jailed in 2019 after posing as a German heiress and defrauding businesses, banks and friends of more than $250,000.

This isn't Delvey's first brush with television stardom, with the hit Netflix drama Inventing Anna Based on his life and his own reality show, Delvey's Supper ClubIt is also said to be in process.
In 2018, Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree grand larceny, three counts of second-degree grand larceny and one count of third-degree grand larceny after stealing more than $200,000 from businesses, banks and friends by posing as a fake heiress.
Two years later, she was convicted of one count of attempted grand larceny, three counts of grand larceny and four counts of theft of services and was sent to prison.
Delvey spent two years in prison before being released under house arrest in 2022, for overstaying her visa in the country.
Because the scammer was born in Russia before immigrating with her parents to Germany, the judge ordered her to remain in her New York City apartment for 24 hours each day while she waited to hear whether or not she would be deported to Germany.
The conditions of his house arrest have recently been relaxed, granting him the freedom to work and travel within a 112-kilometre radius of his home. The courts have also decided to lift the ban on using social media, which was applied alongside his house arrest.

Now, Page Six reports that she has been given permission to travel to Los Angeles to participate in the reality show.
Delvey has also recently launched a fashion PR agency with veteran Kelly Cutrone, called OutLaw Agency, in a playful nod to her time in prison. She is also reported to be making her first appearance at Fashion Week as a semi-free woman.
