Jeremy Clarkson caused a stir by throwing several England flags into the bin after the Euro 2024 final.

The 64-year-old TV personality made the controversial decision after Gareth Southgate's side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Spain after Mikel Oyarzabal scored the winner in the 86th minute.

Clarkson upset many of her Instagram followers when she shared a photo of a trash can filled with flags after Sunday night's (July 14) loss, though others claimed her reaction was “fair.”

Posting the uncaptioned image, many of Clarkson's fans tagged her Grand Tour The star's behavior is “shameful” and “disrespectful.”

“No one should treat their country's flags like this,” wrote one person on the former Upper gear Host's comment section. “If you are sad about a loss, it is human to be sad. But never dishonor your country.”

Another Instagram user added: “That’s disrespectful,” while a third commented: “Honestly, coming second in a Euro is pretty incredible.”

Other fans supported the move, writing that they “feel exactly the same” after England's defeat and claiming Clarkson's reaction to the loss was a “reasonable response”.

Clarkson's disappointment at Euro 2024 comes after Clarkson's Farm The star made a Unfortunate discovery after buying a pub in the Cotswolds for £1 million earlier this month.

The presenter bought the land in 2008 and after the villager who ran the farm retired in 2019, he decided to see if he could run it himself.

In July, it was revealed that the 64-year-old would be expanding his empire by taking over The Windmill country pub in Asthall, a “village pub” set in five acres of countryside near Burford.

However, Clarkson has been open about the fact that the area where the Oxfordshire venue is located is frequented by people who enjoy having sex in semi-isolated public spaces.

In a video shared on Instagram, Clarkson can be seen outside the pub holding a stick with a pair of black and pink knickers hanging off the end.

He wrote: “Tell me you bought a pub from a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub from a dogging site.”
