Jalen Hurts and Bryonna “Bry” Burrows have confirmed their engagement.

The couple met in college when they both attended the University of Alabama, where Hurts played on the school's football team for three seasons from 2016 to 2018 before transferring to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year.

Hurts ended up being selected by the Eagles in 2020 during the second round of the NFL draft, where he succeeded Carson Wentz as the Eagles' starter at the end of his rookie season.

Burrows graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and political science. She then earned her MBA from the Manderson School of Business in Alabama.

Although the two have been dating on and off for years, their relationship didn't become public until January 2023, when Burrows was seen running onto the football field after the Eagles won the NFL championship. The two were seen holding hands and hanging out together after the game.

The Eagles player announced a few months later that he had commitments to be in a relationship, but that he was not married. “I’m not married or anything like that, but I have commitments,” he said in April 2023.

Hurts said in a previous interview with Essence who always knew Burrows was the one for him.

“I knew that a long time ago,” he told the outlet of his current fiancée. “I mean, at this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”

In October 2023, the couple made their red carpet debut when they appeared at the Time100 Next Gala and both wore all-black outfits.

Burrow and Hurts are likely to be seen together again in the team's second game of the season on Monday, Sept. 16 against the Atlanta Falcons.
