Customers say Emily Ratajkowski's swimsuit brand hasn't shipped anything in months

When it comes to celebrity brands, it's no secret that companies endorsed by famous faces and influencers have sometimes failed to meet customer demands. Now, it seems the same could be said for Emily Ratajkowski's swimwear brand Inamorata, which has faced several online complaints from customers about delays in shipping items.

After some customers noticed they were not receiving any items they had purchased several months ago, many people took to social media to demand some answers.

Although the official Inamorata account has been inactive on Instagram since November 2023, that didn't stop customers from complaining about their delayed orders in the comments of their most recent post. “I ordered a bikini in NOVEMBER that hasn't arrived yet. I emailed several times and all I received were automated responses about additional delays. “It is very disturbing,” wrote one customer.

“I placed my order on Black Friday and it STILL hasn't shipped. “I am beyond disappointed,” said another person. “I want a refund.”

“What is happening with your brand??! Why do you make your clients wait so long? I don't even fully believe that my order will ever arrive,” wrote a third user, while another customer stated: “Your team promised to ship my items by March 15th. Nothing yet. PLEASE, it’s been five months.”

According to posts shared on Reddit, the swimsuit brand sent two emails to Inamorata customers informing them of shipping delays. The first email reportedly stated that all items ordered as part of the Black Friday sale would ship in February, followed by another email that said items would ship by March 15.

In response, Inamorata began responding to customer complaints on March 19 in the comments section of its Instagram post. The brand informed customers that they had just sent an email update about delayed orders with options on how to receive a refund. Inamorata also directed some people to its customer service email, telling them to provide their name and order number for a refund.

“Due to the overwhelming volume of orders from the Black Friday sales, we are backlogged on a small percentage of our orders,” Inamorata wrote in an Instagram Story post on Tuesday. “We are offering a full refund to anyone who does not want to wait, and we offer our sincere apologies to our valued customers.”

Ratajkowski, 32, launched the swimwear brand in 2017 with a six-piece collection of bikini tops and bottoms ranging from $75 (£56) to $160 (£121). Since then, the company has expanded its product offering with a variety of printed strappy bikini tops, one-piece suits, and casual beach dresses and cardigans.

In May 2023, Inamorata collaborated with popular sustainable women's clothing brand Mirror Palais to launch a collection of Brazilian-inspired swimsuits and bikinis.
