Christina Applegate has a problem with the hottest dating show of the summer, Island of love.
The 52-year-old man Vacation The actress is unapologetically part of the cult audience obsessed with the series that follows a group of contestants confined to a villa in search of love. But while Applegate willingly tunes in every night to watch the dramatic twist, she has seen some behavior she can't stand to see.
On July 3, the Hollywood star wrote a passionate message on X, formerly known as Twitter, confessing her love for the show and airing some grievances.
“I like Island of love“I have seen all the seasons,” he began before adding: “I have a problem with the production and the contestants.”
He asked the contestants: “Would you please stop making weird noises with your water bottles?”
“It’s like holding a straw in your mouth and chewing on it, without drinking it,” Applegate explained.

“White deodorant on your armpits in hot weather is disgusting,” she wrote. “Now that you are all very attractive people, please wear clear deodorant! This is just my way of helping you be the best version of yourself. Haha.”
According to the comments that followed her posts, Applegate's sentiment seemed to match the issues other fans of the show had also been thinking. Other X-rated users flooded her page, admitting they also couldn't stand watching deodorant dry under the contestants' arms.
“I hate it when it curdles,” one fan agreed, while another wrote: “I think curdled deodorant is absolutely disgusting but I’ve never said that. It’s so disgusting. Thanks for opening that door for discussion.”
A third commented: “For me, it’s always the long nails.”
Island of love originated in the UK and debuted its first season in 2015. Since then, the franchise has grown to launch versions of the dating show in Australia, South Africa, and the US. This year, Love Island, United States has amassed a new level of popularity with the show's viewership doubling from season five to season six, according to IMDb.
