Actress Cheryl Hines recently celebrated her 59th birthday, and her scandal-plagued husband was nowhere to be seen.

He Control your enthusiasm The alum shared several posts on her Instagram stories from people wishing her a happy birthday. “My girls and I,” she wrote alongside an image of her daughter Catherine and stepdaughter Kyra as the three sat together at a restaurant, notably without her husband Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Catherine also made her own post on her Instagram story at the same restaurant where her mother was about to blow out the candle on her dessert. “Happy birthday to the best mom,” she wrote. “I really don’t know how I got so lucky.”

Kennedy was not present at any of the birthday festivities as she was attending a Donald Trump campaign rally in Las Vegas that same night.

They have both been married since 2014, 10 years before their “personal relationship” with New York Magazine Reporter Olivia Nuzzi said the two were allegedly sending sexts to each other.

On Thursday, September 19, the outlet published a statement explaining that the 31-year-old journalist would be placed on leave. “Recently, our Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former 2024 campaign star while reporting on the campaign, which is a violation of the magazine’s rules around conflicts of interest and disclosures,” the statement read.

“Had the magazine known of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign. An internal review of her published work has found no inaccuracies or evidence of bias. She is currently on leave from the magazine and the magazine is conducting a more thorough independent review. We regret this violation of our readers’ trust.”

An editor at the publication posted in a memo to staff a day later that they would hire an “independent third party” to review Nuzzi’s 2024 writing to see if there is anything the publication should disclose or correct regarding the journalist’s “relationship” with the former presidential candidate.

Nuzzi's partner, Ryan Lizza, reporter for PoliticalHe released a statement referring to Nuzzi as his “ex-fiancée,” indicating that the couple had split. It's unclear when they separated.

“Because of my connection to this story through my former fiancée, my editors and I have agreed that I will not participate in any Kennedy coverage in Playbook or anywhere else on POLITICO,” Lizza said.

After New York MagazineFollowing the announcement, Nuzzi issued a statement denying that the relationship with RFK Jr. was physical.

“Earlier this year, the nature of some communications between me and a former reporter became personal,” he said. “During that time, I did not directly report on the subject or use him as a source.

He added: “The relationship was never physical, but it should have been disclosed to avoid the appearance of a conflict. I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I have disappointed, especially my colleagues in New York.”

A Kennedy spokesman said The New York Times who had met Nuzzi “once in her life for an interview she requested, which resulted in a sensational article.”
