Cat rescued from 10-metre-deep tank at wastewater treatment plant | Lifestyle

A cat was rescued by firefighters and the RSPCA after falling into a 10-metre-deep storm tank at a sewage plant in Nuneaton on Sunday 1 September.

Trent, named after the Severn Trent plant where he got into trouble, was spotted by a staff member who was concerned he might have drowned.

The RSPCA was called and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service was contacted to bring in specialist equipment.

Trent was checked and had no injuries.

He was taken to the RSPCA Animal Centre in Birmingham.

Trent does not have a microchip, so if his owner does not show up, he will have to find a new home.
