Blake Lively has revealed her middle name and why she doesn't like it.
He Ends with us The star recently spoke with MTV UK alongside her co-star Isabela Ferrer, where she spoke about the non-traditional name and how she didn't like it until her husband, Ryan Reynolds, admitted his fondness for it.
“My God, you've said it before,” Ferrer said, trying to remember the middle name as well.
“Have I? I don’t really talk about it much,” Lively replied. Ferrer continued to fight, so The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants He began to give her clues so she could possibly guess what the name was.
“If you write diary entries [it’s] “The first part of my middle name,” Lively said. “Ellen? Your middle name is Ellen?” her co-star asked.
Lively later confirmed that Ellen was “half” her name, but not her full name.
Ferrer then began to throw out random variations of the name “Ellen” in the hope that one of them was her real name. “Elenor? Elenora?” he guessed.
“Yes, sort of, but with a ‘D,’” Lively gave her another clue to help her. “It’s not a name. I think my mother made it up by accident,” she added while Ferrer didn’t seem to understand how that letter fit into the name. “It’s not a word, it doesn’t exist.”
The last guess was the name “Delanor” before Lively decided to simply tell him that her middle name is “Ellender.”
As for the pronunciation of the name, the Gossip Girl The student compared Ellender to the Harry Potter character Dumbledore. “I'm not Dumbledore, I'm Ellender,” Lively said while laughing. “Although Dumbledore honestly [would] probably [be] a better option.”
Lively admitted that she never liked her middle name as a child because it “confused” her. However, her husband made her reconsider how much she disliked it after admitting to him that her middle name reminded him of lavender.
Ferrer thought the comparison made sense, noting that the name also sounded like the name of someone “royal.”
“It sounds very elegant and graceful,” he said, jokingly using the name “Lady Ellender III.”
This isn't the first time Lively's name has been mentioned. Her husband joked last week that he only recently learned his wife's last name when she took to her Instagram stories to show off her new hair care line called Blake Brown.
“I am obscenely proud of this woman,” he wrote. “She has been working at @blakebrownbeauty for seven years. And the result is exactly what you would expect from a hyper-obsessive, detail-addicted, uncompromising quality control genius.”
He then addressed the name of his company, joking that he never knew his wife's last name was Brown, as his father actually took his mother's last name, Lively.
“I also just found out that his last name is Brown,” she said. Dead pool The star concluded.
“Brown is my dad’s last name. He took Lively from my mom and my older brothers. Come to think of it, Ryan Lively has a nice ring to it,” Lively jokingly responded on Instagram Story with a post of her own. “Now it’s your turn, Reynolds.”
