Blake Lively's recent interaction with a fan has caused a stir amid the controversy surrounding the actor's new film. Ends with us.

While the Gossip Girl The student attended the Ends with us At the film's London premiere on August 8, a fan was seen handing her a pink friendship bracelet, which she quickly looked at before handing it to someone else. A video of the interaction went viral on TikTok, where Lively is heard telling the fan, “Thank you so much. That's so sweet.”

She then informed the fan that she would not be wearing the bracelet because it did not match her strapless floral print Tamara Ralph couture gown. “I’m going to put it here because it doesn’t match my outfit, but I will wear it later,” she said.

However, the same fan handed a second bracelet to Lively's co-star in the film, Isabela Ferrer, who immediately placed the handmade jewel on her wrist. “Thank you! Oh my gosh, I'm going to wear it,” she told the fan, according to the viral clip.

The TikTok received over two million views as many people took to the comments section and expressed their disbelief that Lively actually followed through on her promise to wear the bracelet.

“I’ll use it later. Yeah, okay,” one person wrote sarcastically in the comments.

Another commenter agreed, writing: “If someone said that to me, I would cry.”

Several TikTokers also pointed out that Lively's dress and earrings seemed to match the friendship bracelet, claiming that she shouldn't have used her outfit as an excuse.

“The way it actually matches her whole outfit lol,” one comment read, while another wrote: “It’s okay but it matches her outfit.”

“It literally matched HER EARRINGS,” a third person wrote in the comments.

The video comes after fans increasingly criticized Lively for her “tone deaf” approach to the Ends with us press tour, considering it an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book about domestic violence and abuse.

Earlier this week, journalist Kjersti Flaa published an interview with Lively from 2016 that she says made her want to “quit my job.” The interview was to promote Lively's film. Coffee Societydirected by Woody Allen. Lively was joined by co-star Parker Posey. Around the same time as the interview, Lively had announced that she was pregnant with her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds. Flaa had told the actor, “Congrats on your little baby bump,” prompting Lively to sarcastically respond, “Congrats on your his small lump.”

Posey appeared to use humor to show off her backside, after which Lively went on to talk about the actress's “adorable girly bumps” as Flaa waited to begin the interview.

Speaking about the film, the journalist said she found it “visually stunning” and asked if any of the women liked the fashion, because the film is set in the 1930s. Lively was then seen ignoring Flaa and instead turned to Posey to say: “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”

Though Flaa insisted she “would have” asked the male actors the same question, Lively seemed to brush her off as she continued to talk to Posey about the best outfits worn by the men in the film.

She concluded: “It’s not just women who have the clothes, but I feel like they are the ones who lead the conversation.”
