Inspired by her idol, Hrithik Roshan, Shreya Chaudhry shares her journey to fitness and self-love, from overcoming self-doubt to embracing boxing as therapy.

Shreya Chaudhry says her idol, Hrithik Roshan, motivated her to put her health first and embrace boxing as a means of self-discovery.

Bandish Bandits Season 2 has been one of the most talked about shows since its release. And all eyes are on the show's leading lady – Shreya Chaudhry. She has been soaking up all the love and appreciation she receives. Recently, the actress was in the news for her inspiring fitness transformation story.

As a teenager, Shreya struggled with being overweight and often doubted herself. But the turning point in his life came when he saw his idol Hrithik Roshan openly talk about his journey from battling injuries and weight gain to regaining his fitness.

Shreya says, “I was always the chubby kid in the room. I felt like no matter what I did, I couldn't lose enough weight. Maybe I wasn't motivated enough. Then came Hrithik Roshan and as a fan, his fitness journey has been truly inspiring. He spoke openly about his struggles and how he overcame them, and couldn't be more inspired to take it one day at a time. “I also wanted to take control of my own fitness.”

Shreya also shared some inspiring photos of her transformation on her social media and captioned them as, “Story time 💌. I love every version of me, each one reflects what I was going through mentally. I don't regret it. Without looking back. I have become wiser and also toughened.

Although I did want to be in shape. To begin with, not for any other reason, but simply for health. I was going through some stress and was constantly advised to be active and take care of my fitness and health.

I remember reading an article by @hrithikroshan (my eternal crush) on how to get fit and how I handled his ups and downs. I have been one of Hrithik's biggest fans since I was a child and that article changed my life. In retrospect, I think I owe my fitness journey to him. So here it is… a thank you post to my movie idol who inspired me to take care of myself and make my health a priority. You inspire millions, including me…

Taking care of my health helped me pursue a passion I always had…acting…so here I am…getting through the good days and the bad and never losing sight of the prize…

He further adds, “This was the time when I started boxing. Boxing was not just an exercise; It was therapy. I was skeptical at first, but then I put on the gloves for the first session and quickly fell in love with the sport. I realized that the biggest fight is always the one inside of you. It was a reminder that setbacks are stepping stones to success. “I discovered a version of myself that I had never known before, a version full of determination and self-acceptance.”

As part of her upcoming projects, Shreya Chaudhry will now be seen in Boman Irani's highly anticipated directorial debut film The Mehta Boys opposite Avinash Tiwary in 2025.
