Bachelor stars Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei want to adopt children

The Bachelor Star Kelsey Anderson, who signed on to lead Joey Graziadei on the final season of the ABC dating show, opened up about her future family plans.

Anderson discussed the dynamics of her relationship with Graziadei during a recent episode of the Singles Happy Hours: The Golden Hour podcast, hosted by formerThe golden bachelor contestants Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles. During the conversation, the 26-year-old shared that when she first started dating Graziadei in The Bachelorshe talked about how important it was for her to have children through adoption.

“One of the first big things I told him was that I really wanted to adopt and that was non-negotiable for me,” she said. “So if he wasn’t open to that, then I wouldn’t be able to be here.”

“I felt in my soul that I had to adopt at least one child,” Anderson continued, before acknowledging that she wanted to have a child herself.

He also noted that he wants a relatively large family. “I mean I want like a million children. Joey only wants two. He says, 'It's easier to travel,'” she added.

This isn't the first time Anderson has spoken openly about building a life with her fiancé. During an appearance on The Viall Files In March, Graziadei and Anderson first revealed that they had made plans to have children.

“We have already decided on the name of our first child,” said the former protagonist of The Bachelor “We want to start a beautiful family because we have two beautiful families of our own. We are taking things slowly,” he said.

When host Nick Viall asked the couple what their future baby would be called, Graziadei revealed that their child would “take [his fiancée’s] last name.”

“Anderson is her last name, which will obviously soon be her maiden name, and we love it best for a girl and named her 'Andie.' [as a nickname]“He said. “So Anderson Graziadei is the first child’s idea.”

During the episode, he also shared how interested Anderson was in adopting a child, while also emphasizing how important it is for them to have a family.

“One of the really special things, I don't know if it made it into the show, was that Kelsey [told me] She always wanted to adopt. That was something that she always liked a lot and she probably wants to have like 20 children. I prefer to stay in more of the range of three,” she added.

Earlier this month, the couple opened up about what they've been up to since starring on season 28 of The Bachelorincluding how they live with roommates.

Anderson recalled that when she got engaged, she wasn't willing to immediately change aspects of her daily life. “I was still working and I thought, 'I have to get back to my life.' I'm not going to quit my job,'” she said on an episode of Trade secrets podcast with Jason Tartick. “He was just living with his sister, so I said, ‘You can move in with me.’”

Graziadei then laughed about how he now lives with three women. “I'm in a comedy sketch right now. I feel like I'm in the middle of creating a comedy.” new girl situation,” she said, referring to the television show that features a woman who lives with three men as roommates.

Even though she would be living in an apartment with three people, Graziadei acknowledged that moving in with her partner was “a no-brainer.”

During the interview, Anderson also explained that she did eventually quit her job as she and her partner were traveling so she could pursue work as a project manager. However, to ease her concerns about what they would do without a steady income, her fiancé offered to help her out.

“Part of it was Joey saying, no matter what, like, ‘I’ll help you out if you need help in any way,’ which, you know, gave me a little bit of financial security because I was like, ‘Oh my god. Am I going to say what am I going to do for these two months?'” she said, adding, “Joey is my security blanket.”
