Astrologer suggests days when people should avoid cutting their hair

Haircuts should also be avoided on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Parents should avoid cutting their hair on Mondays, as it is believed that this fills their children's lives with many difficulties.

The Hindu religion comprises many traditions and beliefs that believers have followed since time immemorial. Devotees believe that these beliefs must be respected to stay in good physical and mental shape. According to one such belief, people should not cut their hair on specific days. Failure to follow these rules can have negative implications on an individual's financial situation. In an interview with Local 18 Madhya Pradesh, Ujjain astrologer Ravi Shukla described the days believed to be auspicious and unlucky for hair cutting. According to the astrologer

1. Monday: Parents should avoid cutting their hair on Mondays, as it is believed that this fills their children's lives with many difficulties.

2. Tuesday: In Hindu religion and scriptures, Tuesday is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Due to this occasion, it is not considered a good omen to get a haircut on Tuesday. This act performed on Tuesday is also believed to reduce the life expectancy of a devotee.

3. Thursday: Thursday is also believed to bring anger to those who opt for a haircut. According to popular belief, doing so leads to the weakening of Jupiter, one of the planets in astrology. Therefore, people have to face unforeseen problems in their lives.

4. Saturday: Saturday is dedicated to Shani Dev, known as the God of justice, and a popular deity to whom Hindus pray for protection from obstacles in life. People should not go for haircuts on Saturday as this is believed to upset Shani Dev. This can also have devastating consequences for health and finances.

5. Sunday- Sunday, being a holiday for most people, is considered an auspicious day to go out and get a haircut. However, according to the astrologer, despite this advantage, people should not cut their hair. Failure to do so can hinder your self-confidence and your options to progress in life. It is also believed to harm health.

According to Ravi Shukla, devotees should choose Wednesday and Friday to get their hair cut.

Wednesday: Wednesday is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and therefore every work done on this day is auspicious.

Friday: Cutting your hair on this day, dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi, is also believed to be a good omen.
