Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh has confirmed that she will no longer use her father's surname.

The 18-year-old previously requested to have her legal name changed from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie on her recent birthday in May, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Now he has posted an ad in the Los Angeles Times as part of the legal process.

Under California law, a judge can only approve a petition to change someone's name one month after he or she has published legal forms in a newspaper.

Shiloh's younger sister, Vivienne, also appears to have dropped Pitt from her last name, according to the play's Broadway playbill. The outsiders.

The 16-year-old, who is part of the production team of the play along with her mother Angelina, appears named in the official programme as Vivienne Jolie.

In 2023, the former couple's daughter Zahara, 19, also appeared to have decided to no longer use her father's surname, as she was introduced to her college sorority as Zahara Marley Jolie.

However, Shiloh is believed to be the first of the former couple's children to embark on the legal process necessary to officially change their name.

Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 60, got together in 2004 after meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and married in 2014. They have six children together: Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, 20, Maddox, 22, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.

The couple announced their separation in 2016, and the breakup has been acrimonious.

Jolie is believed to have filed for divorce following an incident on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September 2016.
