Corita Kent's work, an innovative artist, educator and defender of social justice often known as the “Pop-art nun”, is now more accessible than ever with the official inauguration of the Corita Art Center (CAC) in the heart of the Los Angeles arts district. His inaugural exhibition, “Heroes and Sheroes”, pays tribute to important figures, including Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King, Robert F. Kennedy and César Chávez.
