An 80-Year-Old California Woman's Secret Skin Care Routine Deserves Your Attention

The octogenarian has taken care of her skin since she was 20.

Yuri Lee, a beauty influencer, recently shared her 80-year-old grandmother's skincare routine on TikTok.

Wrinkles, sun spots, and sagging skin are natural indications of a person's aging process. However, an 80-year-old woman has attracted millions of eyes because she seems to ignore all these natural skin indications.

A California-based beauty influencer named Yuri Lee recently shared her 80-year-old grandmother's skincare routine on TikTok, which has racked up more than eight million views. Speaking to her 501,000 followers on TikTok, Lee, 36, said: “This is my famous 80-year-old grandmother's skincare routine,” Daily Mail reported.

While speaking with Business Insider, Yuri Lee mentioned that her grandmother has been taking care of her skin since she was 20 years old. She has also been consistent with her routine.

According to the viral video shared on TikTok, Yuri's grandmother uses Japanese skincare brand Manavis. Starting with her facial mist, she then uses Whitening Essence, which is a vitamin C serum from the same brand. Next, Yuri's grandmother applies Manavis Restore Gel, which is a light, brightening moisturizer. Next, she uses an anti-wrinkle gel, which is a moisturizing cream meant to work on fine lines.

Finishing the skin care routine, the elderly woman uses La Prairie's Skin Caviar concealer and makeup base with her hands, avoiding any sponge.

Yuri Lee also shared a video on Instagram and captioned it, “My grandma has the most beautiful skin I've ever seen!”

The post received thousands of likes and comments. Among several comments, one of the Instagram users wrote: “What is his secret. What she ate? I need to know.” Another added: “We need grandma's diet and skincare routine!”

Meanwhile, a group of people were seen on the post saying that Lee's grandmother's genetics should be blamed for the glassy skin. According to the director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologists, Dr. Tina Alastair, there could only be two main reasons for having glowing skin. While the first could be genetics, the second reason behind glowing skin may be careful protection from the sun.

For the uninitiated, up to 90 percent of all damage marks seen on our skin are typically caused by the sun, says the Skin Care Foundation.
