Alicia Vikander has revealed she felt like an “imposter” when filming scenes in which she pretended to give birth before experiencing it in real life.

“But I think the training made it easier. Going through those nine months is like a marathon, so it helps if you feel strong before you start. It’s very physically demanding and I have great admiration for any woman who has done it.”

Despite being very reserved about her personal life, the Oscar winner said The Sunday Times in 2022 that she and Fassbender had gone through an “extreme and painful” miscarriage before becoming parents for the first time.

“We have a son now, but it took time,” she said.
