The auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami is on this day. Devotees observing the Janmashtami fast are required to eat only one meal on the previous day as per traditions. Before starting any ritual, it is essential to check the tithi, along with the auspicious and inauspicious timings. SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE AND MOONSET ON AUGUST 26

Sunrise is expected to occur around 5:56 a.m., while sunset is expected at approximately 6:49 p.m. The moon is expected to rise around 11:20 p.m. and set around 12:58 a.m.

TITHI, NAKSHATRA AND RASHI DETAILS FOR 26 AUGUST

Ashtami Tithi will be in effect till 2:19 am and then Navami Tithi will begin. Krittika Nakshatra will remain in effect till 3:55 pm on August 26 and then it will be replaced by Rohini Nakshatra. Moon will be in Vrishabha Rashi and Sun will be in Simha Rashi.

SHUBH MUHURAT FOR AUGUST 26

On August 26, the auspicious mahurats include Brahma Muhurta from 4:27 AM to 5:12 AM. The auspicious Abhijit Muhurat will last from 11:57 PM to 12:48 PM. Pratah Sandhya from 4:50 AM to 5:56 AM, Vijaya Muhurta from 2:31 PM to 3:23 PM, Godhuli Muhurta from 6:49 PM to 7:11 PM and Sayahna Sandhya from 6:49 PM to 7:56 PM. Also, Nishita Muhurta will occur from 12:01 AM to 12:45 AM on August 27, while Amrit Kalam will be observed between 1:36 AM and 3:09 PM.

The inauspicious timings for the day are as follows: Rahu Kalam Muhurat is scheduled from 7:33 to 9:09, Yamaganda Muhurat from 10:46 to 12:23 and Gulikai Kalam Muhurat from 1:59 to 15:36. Also, Banna Muhurat will take place at Mrityu from 5:08 am on August 27 and will continue throughout the night.
