The catwalks aren't the only place to see exceptional style at London Fashion Week.

In fact, the people sitting in the front row tend to wear some of the most exciting fashions of the season, bringing their own personality and uniqueness to each look.

Street style is not a new phenomenon and gained momentum in the 1980s thanks to photographer Bill Cunningham. His photo essays immortalised trends such as fanny packs, Birkin bags and fluorescent cycling shorts. Today, street style is a spectacle in its own right during Fashion Month.

Here are some of the best street styles seen at London Fashion Week (LFW)…

1. Combine colors with your basic clothes

Hannah Jones, chief executive of the Earthshot Prize, founded by the Prince of Wales, gave a perfect example of how to bring the basics to life.

Jones paired a sleek black suit with a cobalt blue handbag and lime green scarf.

2. Smart casual

Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens was the epitome of smart casual style in a chunky blue hoodie, utility pants and a wool double-breasted coat on the streets of London.

3. The boho style is back

French label Chloe championed boho styles in its fall/winter 2024 Paris Fashion Week collection in February, and that seemed to be the inspiration for many style stars at LFW.

Boho style is not just a summer trend, as demonstrated by musician Jamie Perrett, who wore vintage velvet, second-hand silver necklaces and a fedora.

4. Mother-daughter outing day

Model and philanthropist Noella Coursaris and her daughter, Cara Masters, complemented each other's color-blocking in the season's hues, wearing mint green, smoky eggplant and deep ochre.

5. Dip-dyed denim

Lois Lewis and Pia Mastrangelo proved that monochrome doesn't have to be just about stark contrasts.

Lewis combined soft whites and creams in a breezy late-summer look, while Mastrangelo's tie-dye denim dress turned a heavy fall staple into a chic statement piece.

6. Pearls are not just for jewelry

Pearls splashed across the sidewalks at London Fashion Week, proving that this soft gemstone isn't just for summer (and it doesn't have to be reserved for necklaces, either).

REO Reworked founder Rosa Owen showed off a flirty pearl and velvet corset with ribbon embellishments.

7. Leather statement

Student Mario Traviati showed off some eye-catching leather in his elegant take on evening gloves.

Her deep red fingerless gloves were paired with a black crocodile-print clutch, proving that leather is a fall staple that never goes out of style.
