Taylor Swift's tablemate for the 2024 Grammy Awards has been announced.
The “Style” vocalist, 34, will attend the 66th annual ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4. While fans were waiting for Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, to make her red carpet debut there, the NFL tight end can't join her. Kelce will be busy in practice ahead of Super Bowl LVIII the following Sunday.
While we can't wait for a moment at Travis and Taylor's table, the spot next to the “Anti-Hero” artist has been taken by a heartbroken ballad-singing icon like her. On February 1, CBS posted a sneak peek of the seating on TikTok, revealing where Swift would sit during the show.
“In our era of #GRAMMYS seating arrangements,” the network's headline read.
The camera panned to the numerous tables placed around the golden stage. In a second, a two-person table appeared with photographs of artists on each chair: Taylor Swift and Lana Del Ray. Viewers immediately picked up on the brief signal and commented on their excitement for the couple.
“Taylor and Lana together,” one obsessed woman wrote, while another said, “TAYLANA IS ALIVE AND BREATHING!”
“CBS knew who we wanted to see sitting with Taylor,” one grateful person added.
Del Ray not only collaborates on Swift's midnight record, but the two recorded the song “Snow on the Beach” together. As of now, the Grammy performance schedule does not include the two famous women. However, fans thought C.B.S. could be hinting at a possible duet between them.
“Taylor and Lana are going to perform together in the snow on the beach,” one person guessed.
People reported that Swift will not take the stage because she will travel to Japan shortly after for the third leg of her Eras Tour.
Joni Mitchell, Olivia Rodrigo, Billy Joel, Travis Scott, U2 and SZA are among the artists confirmed to perform on Sunday.
Swift is nominated for six Grammy Awards: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album (midnight).
