Linda Yaccarino, former executive director of Elon Musk's social networks, X, is turning in medical care.
The Digital Health Company Emed Poblacity Health announced Tuesday that it has designated Yaccarino as its new CEO. EMED is developing a population health management platform for weight loss of weight success and diabetes medications called LPG-1, the company said. He had raised a total of $ 22 million from 2022, according to Pitchbook.
Yaccarino, who reached the top of the Global Nbcuniversal advertising business before joining X, will help EMed establish “associations that change the game” and will navigate the complex markets, the company said.
“The health industry has been interrupted by technology, but not yet completely transformed by it,” Yaccarino said in a statement. “There is the opportunity to combine technology, lifestyle and data in a new powerful way through digital channels that affect consumers directly so that they had never been done before.”
EMED is part of the growing group of digital health companies that are trying to capitalize on the high demand for LPG-1. Goldman Sachs analysts expect 15 million American adults to have obesity medications by 2030, and predict that the industry could reach annual revenues of $ 100 billion at that time.
Yaccarino resigned from his role as CEO in X in July and did not reveal a reason for his departure. Emed said it is a “very sinned leader” with an “undeniable ability to negotiate new associations.”
“To be a leader in the current health market, companies must have an intrepid tenacity that allows them not only to grow, but also to be brave enough to take a step forward and redefine an entire industry,” said Yaccarino.
