David Beckham opened up about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s budding romance while giving the couple love advice.
The soccer star made the comments while speaking with PEOPLE during the premiere of his Netflix documentary Beckham. “There’s a lot of noise around Taylor right now,” he admitted.
David recalled his early days of dating his now-wife Victoria Beckham and added that he knows what it’s like to be in a relationship between an athlete and a pop star.
When asked if he had any advice for the alleged couple, David said: “Find time just for you and your partner.” The former England captain said it is the “key to a long-lasting romance”.
Giving an example of his marriage to Victoria, David added: “We have been together for 26 years, almost three decades. “We have wonderful children, we have built businesses, but we make time for each other.”
The 48-year-old global icon made the comments after the Lover The hitmaker and the NFL star have been making headlines for their rumored relationship ever since Taylor attended two of their games.
A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the duo are not dating yet and are “still getting to know each other.”
