Zeus Network announced the launch of its first dApp APOLLO, built on the Zeus Program Library (ZPL) and marking the latest testnet to integrate liquidity with the ecosystem. In just 72 hours, the testnet has seen over 15,000 wallets connected since its launch on August 8, demonstrating a high level of engagement from the crypto community.
The APOLLO testnet aims to put Bitcoin into optimized DeFi utilization on Solana, enabling the conversion of Bitcoin into zBTC, a native Solana token. This testnet launch promotes Bitcoin’s utility in decentralized finance and innovation within the Solana network. In preparation for an upcoming ZEUS token staking and utility program, the APOLLO launch is part of Zeus Network’s broader goal to seamlessly integrate Bitcoin liquidity into Solana.
The testnet has gone through several phases: the initial testnet was launched six months earlier with 4,000 users and then expanded to larger testnets involving over 70,000 participants. The current and final testnet is expected to involve over 100,000 participants, reflecting growing interest and confidence in the project.
APOLLO allows users to claim test Bitcoin (tBTC), deposit it on the APOLLO platform to convert it to zBTC, and withdraw zBTC to the Bitcoin blockchain. The testnet supports several wallet connections, including Muses Wallet (a Bitcoin wallet provided by Zeus Network available exclusively for the APOLLO Testnet), Solana Wallet, and Bitcoin Devnet Wallet. It also includes programs such as the Two-Way Pegging Program and the zBTC Minting Program, with ongoing developments in liquidity management.
Along with the testnet, Zeus Network has launched the testnet points system on Galxe, dubbed “Prophecy of Light.” Participants can earn Galxe loyalty points by interacting with the testnet, which can be redeemed for future rewards on the APOLLO mainnet.
