Wizz Air has announced that it will resume flights between the UK and Israel.
Most airlines suspended flights to Israel in October following the start of the country's conflict with Hamas.
Wizz Air said it will resume services to the Middle Eastern nation “with routes from Budapest, Sofia, Bucharest, Krakow, London. [and] Rome to Tel Aviv” since the beginning of March.
The Hungarian airline previously connected the UK and Israel with flights from Gatwick and Luton.
British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and easyJet have not announced plans to resume services to Israel.
Ryanair was forced to cancel 870 flights during October due to the conflict.
Israeli airline El Al has continued to fly between the UK and Tel Aviv during the conflict.
Meanwhile, Wizz Air announced a 16 per cent rise in operating losses, from €155.5m (£133m) between October and December 2022 to €180.4m (£154m ) during the same period last year.
CEO Jozsef Varadi said: “Earlier in the quarter we faced geopolitical crises in Israel and the Middle East and responded by canceling affected flights to protect our passengers, employees, assets and the general public.
“Despite associated flight cancellations and capacity redeployment at short notice, we managed operations well, delivering improved on-time performance and significantly better utilization year on year.”
