Starbucks It will deviate to 1,100 corporate employees and will not occupy several hundred open stalls, said the CEO of the coffee chain, Brian Niccol.

The cuts will not affect workers in the company's coffees.

In a message to corporate employees, Niccol said Starbucks is “simplifying our structure, eliminating layers and duplication and creating smaller and agile equipment.”

“Our intention is to operate more efficiently, increase responsibility, reduce complexity and promote better integration,” Niccol wrote. “Everything with the aim of being more focused and capable of promoting a greater impact on our priorities.”

The layoffs occur when Starbucks tries to attract coffee drinkers to their coffees after sales of the same store decreased for four consecutive quarters. As customers resort to cheaper rivals in the two largest markets in Starbucks, the United States and China, Niccol has tried to renew operations since it took the company's helm last year, even by accelerating the service.

Starbucks had about 16,000 employees who work outside the stores of stores until last year. The cuts will affect the people who work in corporate support, but not roasted, manufacture, storage and distribution.
