Spirit Airlines warns that it might not be able to survive without more effective

Spiritual airlines He has noticed that he might not be able to survive as a company in progress if he does not collect more effective, five months after the budget travel icon arose from bankruptcy.

After reducing its debt during restructuring, Spirit has tried to attract reservations marketing more exclusive products and looking for new ways to reduce costs. At the end of last month, the airline announced plans to obtain 270 more pilots this fall.

“However, the company has remained affected by the adverse market conditions, including the high national capacity and the continuous weak demand for national leisure trips in the second quarter of 2025, resulting in a challenging price environment,” the company said in its quarterly report on Monday night.

As their financial results are not improving at the same pace as creditors require, Spirit will need additional effective. Not doing so could result in default values. The carrier is looking to sell some airplanes, real estate or airport doors, he said.

“Due to the uncertainty of successfully completing the initiatives to comply with the minimum liquidity agreements and the result of the discussions with the company's interested parties, management has concluded that there is a substantial doubt of the company's capacity to continue as a concern in progress within 12 months from the date on which these financial statements are issued,” he said in the presentation.

Spirit's bankruptcy last year marked the first for an US airline since 2011.

Known for its bright yellow planes, Spirit was a pioneer of the budget airline in the United States, but fought as a result of a failed acquisition for Jetblue Airways Last year, consumer change changes to more luxury products and a motor withdrawal that founded many of its airplanes.
