Rally to support the surprising workers of Bin de Birmingham

On Saturday a rally will be held in support of Bin workers in Birmingham who have been on strike for more than six months in a bitter dispute over salary and jobs.

The members of the Union throughout the country will join the protest in Birmingham as the Unite members continue to take industrial measures.

The union says that its members face a salary cut of thousands of pounds under plans to change the provision of personnel in garbage collection vehicles, which according to the Council of the City of Birmingham is necessary to reform and improve the service.

The two parties have not met for weeks, and conversations are not planned, leaving the dead dispute.

Unite has been critical of the Labor Council and the Government for not doing enough to resolve the dispute.

The garbage has been accumulating in the streets of the city, although the Council has requested help from local local authorities to collect container bags, as well as use vehicles from other parts of its operations.

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “If the Labor cannot see what is happening in Birmingham is wrong, it is not surprising that the workers move away from them in mass.”
