Under this new collaboration, Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd. will obtain funds through LandX Credit Gateway to make timely payments to grain producers. How does the system work:
Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd. will leverage the LandX Credit Gateway platform to obtain USDC-denominated loans. These funds will be collateralized through lending pools where investors can deposit USDC to earn additional interest and rewards.
Funds obtained through LandX Credit Gateway are collateralized by grain inventories and will then be used to finance trade, capital expenditures, and other key financial activities in the agricultural industry. This system provides farmers with access to liquidity that they would otherwise not be able to access in the shortest possible time, thereby improving their cash flow and operational efficiency.
Dominion, through its Grain Intelligence division, offers a comprehensive digital solution that tracks grain-related data from the farm field to the processor using blockchain. This starts with grain sampling and analysis at the farm, the results of which are shared with potential buyers; a digital sales contract is created; the transportation of the grain is tracked; and payment is triggered when evidence of delivery is provided. This ground-to-delivery solution provides complete traceability that can be used for carbon credits, regenerative and sustainability initiatives, and other valuable applications in the food chain.
North West Terminal pays for grain in deferred 35-day installments. During this period, funds are sourced to the LandX Credit Gateway and collected by Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd., and released to the growers. Once NWT pays the invoices, the loans are closed.
