The Locker Evri group continues to expand its network with two new partnerships in Tesco and Motor Fuel Group, the petrol station operator.
A small number of Tesco supermarkets and 500 MFG stores will benefit from the lockers as part of Evri's plan to double its network.
Evri lockers can be used to pick up deliveries when customers know they will be out or to return them.
A survey shows Britons are worried about parcels not being delivered before events such as Mother's Day. But many don't have access to a locker.
Evri lockers use QR code access and have in-locker printing capabilities; This latest announcement builds on Evri's existing presence of over 11,000 ParcelShops and lockers across the UK, including services available in Post Office branches and Asda stores.
This follows the company's announcement of a £50m investment to more than double its ParcelShop and lockers by 2030.
Evri has partnered with smart technology specialist Bloq.it in the development of these new lockers, bringing at least 1,000 units into operation and, unlike third-party shared lockers, these will be operated solely by the Yorkshire-based company.
Liam Rogan, Director of ParcelShop and Locker Network at Evri, said: “It may be Friday the 13th, but by partnering with Tesco and Motor Fuel Group to launch our lockers, we are ensuring shoppers are not left to chance when it comes to parcel deliveries, reinforcing our commitment to a choice of quality delivery methods.”

MGF said: “With the deployment of Evri lockers in 500 Motor Fuel Group facilities, this new partnership brings together two brands focused on everyday convenience.
“Together we can offer customers greater flexibility to send, collect and return parcels as part of their regular routines, while enhancing the role our service stations play in local communities and adding real value for our retail partners.”
