Dora, the unified search and action engine for the multi-chain world, is pleased to announce the successful closing of a $5.5 million seed funding round. The round was co-led by Dragonfly Capital and Lemniscap, with participation from Robot Ventures, Ethereal Ventures, Maven11, and Arche Capital, alongside prominent angel investors including Movement Labs co-founder Rushi Manche and Fluent (NASDAQ:) co-founder Dino Savonin. The funds will be used to enhance Dora’s innovative search, unified cross-chain transaction capabilities, and expand its collaborations with blockchain networks across virtual machines.
Dora is the only multi-chain search engine that enables cross-chain searches and transactions in a unified interface. As applications increasingly leverage online and on-chain infrastructure, unlocking search capabilities is crucial for understanding and accessibility. Dora’s comprehensive search and block exploration solutions empower users and developers by providing easy access to on-chain data, thereby driving the broader adoption of blockchain technology.
Dora currently supports over 20 chains including Arbitrum, Base, Celo, Scroll, Rari, Palm and Xai.
The Dora platform offers a multi-chain block explorer to search EVM chain data, APIs to access rich token and NFT information, efficiently organized data structures for easy data retrieval powered by Goldsky and Simplehash, transaction functionalities such as swaps and minting, and an integrated wallet. These offerings serve as a one-stop solution for chains looking to foster developer adoption and catalyze usage of their ecosystem.
The funding follows support for Dora from key industry partners, including the largest grant to date from Arbitrum subDAO, as well as grants from Gnosis, Scroll, and the Ocelot treasury for Celo.
“The golden age of Web2 came with the golden age of its search engines. To drive widespread adoption of goods and services on-chain, we need a cryptocurrency search engine.” said Bunny, CEO and co-founder of Dora“This funding round demonstrates our investors' strong confidence in our vision: a unified, fragmentation-free multi-chain experience. By integrating interactivity into the discovery layer, we aim to drive mass adoption of blockchain technology and facilitate the evolution towards a multi-chain and, soon, multi-VM world.”
Tom Schmidt, partner at Dragonfly, said: “Dora’s mission to make on-chain data accessible and interactive aligns perfectly with our vision for the future of blockchain technology. By providing comprehensive search and exploration tools, Dora is unlocking new potentials in the blockchain space. We are confident that its innovative approach will significantly contribute to the mass adoption of decentralized technologies.”
Tarun Chitra, Partner at Robot Ventures, said: “Dora is at the forefront of making blockchain data understandable and accessible to a wider audience. Its approach to integrating multiple chains into a seamless search experience is revolutionary. We believe its technology will play a pivotal role in the broader adoption of blockchain and decentralized applications. In a future where there are as many blockchains as GPUs, Dora will be the key to managing the complexity for end users.”
Roderik van der Graaf, founder of Lemniscap, said: “We are delighted to co-lead this investment round for Dora, as part of our ongoing commitment to advancing innovative technologies in the blockchain ecosystem. Dora’s unique approach to search and interactivity within the multi-chain world positions them as a key player in driving mass adoption, and we are very excited to be part of their journey.”
