The scientific journal Nature recently published published an editorial in its Nature Bioscience section that praises the use of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) as a revolutionary new method by which researchers working in underfunded scientific fields can create communities around their work and raise funds that, in Otherwise, they may not be available.
In a DAO-based research scheme, the organization of a project, fundraising, feedback and the process from discovery to product/industry can be handled by the same decentralized governing body.
